About PowerCrypt2000 algorithm security
On this page you will find information about algorithm used by PowerCrypt
during files or text encryption.
It is an exclusive quite new technology developed for PowerCrypt not used
by any other competing software. It is a symmetric coded algorithm: it is
used the same key either for coding or decoding.
The length of the key is infinite, that is it gets bigger and
bigger along with the increasing of data to be encrypted. This means that it is
not used an n repeated byte pattern but a stream which varies continually for
any kind of data for dimension and/or type. The crypted output varies in 2^8 casual and diverse ways which shows a
further point of strength. The password given by the user is only in part used
to make out the key. This is generated during encoding process and is never
saved. There is a double effect:
- It will never be possible to extract or crack used password;
- Using a wrong password (different from the one on which encoded) the
result will produce a meaningless file
Until now the code created by PowerCrypt has not been violated and never
decoded.
